English Abstract

It is the world's first dam less underground sea hydropower plant to produce
(extract) any
amount of (MW) hydropower from SEA (14) 24 hours a day 365 days a year. It is
a
breakthrough technology because hydropower is produced for the first time in
the world
below seashore (underground). It comprises Turbine-Generators (11) to produce
electricity, a
giant water tank (6) to collect the wastewater from the Turbine draft tube
(20), and empty
water tanks (wagons) 7, and Automatic Locomotives (15) (diesel or steam or
natural gas)
which brings the wastewater to the ground and passes over a over bridge (18)
to produce
extra hydropower as shown in the drawing .This plant is completely automated.
In this
method we can tap (produce) the billions and billions or trillions and
trillions of stored
potential energy (GW or TW or PW electricity) in the entire SEA (OCEAN). We do
not need oil,
coal, natural gas, uranium or thorium to produce electricity. We do not need
wave power,
tidal power, wind power, solar power, biomass power, biogas power, geothermal
power,
OTEC power, osmosis power, thermonuclear power or any other power any more.

CA 02848716 2015-01-30
DESCRIPTION: -
My method is related to produce hydropower from SEA 24 hours a day, 365
days a year. My method is related to POWER ENGINEERING.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
There have been many attempts to harness the energy from the SEA for
electrical generation. These methods need huge investments to produce
electricity from SEA. We need to find a solution before all our natural
resources
like oil, natural gas, coal, uranium and thorium are completely depleted
(removed) from earth. Seawater is our natural resource (fuel) in my method to
produce electricity and we do not need oil, coal, uranium, thorium or natural
gas to produce electricity. Wind power or solar power are not continuously
available 24 hours a day 365 days a year and in tropical countries due to hot
summer water is evaporated in DAMS and they cannot produce electricity
during summer seasons. In my novel method we can produce any amount of
electricity 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We need not build a DAM in this
method and we save 70 % investment costs. We can build office buildings and
Transformer stations underground to protect the plant from Tsunami and
Hurricane. We can produce hydropower 2 places in my method and we can
make lot of money. In my method only a fraction of profit (money) is spent to
operate the Automatic Locomotives (diesel or biodiesel). The only advantage in

my method is to have more horse power we can add additional Automatic
Locomotives. We can apply my method in Pumped Storage Hydropower Plants
to produce hydropower 24 hours a day 365 days a year. In my method
hydropower is produced below seashore (underground) for the first time in the
world.

A TECHNOLOGY TO EXTRACT ENERGY FROM SEA.
KRISHNA'S METHOD WORLD'S FIRST DAMLESS BELOW SEASHORE
(UNDER9ROUND) SEA HYDROPOWER PLANT:
(FIG-2 & FIG-3)
HOW IT WORKS FIG-3 - ________________________________________________
It N a novel method the world's first dam less below seashore sea (undergmand)
hydropower
plant to produce any amount of hydropower from SEA 24 hours a day 365 days a
year. It
comprises a flood gate (8), a penstock (3), Turbine-Generators (2) installed
underground (15),
empty water tanks (7) (railway wagons) to collect the wastewater from
Turbine's draft tubes
(4), automatic Locomotives to bring the wastewater from underground (15) to
the ground (5)
and then the Auternatic Locorr_Aive passes over a over bridge (18) and
dischr,r4e the
wastewater into an above ground water tank(10) installed under the bridge. The
collected
wastewater in the above ground water tank then passes through a penstock(3) to
the
underground installed second Turbine0Generators (2) to produce more electridty
second
time in the same method. We can inttall any number of above ground water tanks
below the
over bridge and we can install again Turbine-Generators underground (not shown
in the
drawing) to produce more hydropower in the Same method. The number of automatic

Locomotives and empty water tanks (railway wagons) depends upon the plant
capacity. We
have to make this underground sea hydropower plant fully automated so that the

wastewater can be brought to the ground continuouslyto produce electricity 24
hours a day
365 days a year. To calculate the power generated in this method we can apply
the formula
POWER (KW) = 9.8 (gravity) X water flow rate in m3/s x water head in meters.

DETAILED DESCRIPYION OF THE DRAWINGS
F1G-1, FIG-2, FIG-3 : How it works is explained separately in Page-4. it is an
underground
sea hydropower plant to produce any amount (MW) of hydropower 24 hours a day
365 days
a year. The plant is completely automated.
F1G-4 This drawing explains how electricity is produced in detailed way. You
can _ _
understand from the drawing itself how hydropower is produced in my method.
When floodgate is opened sea water from SEA flows down through a Penstock
to the Turbine-Generators which turns the Turbine-Generator to produce
electricity and the generated electricity is sent to long distances through
Transformers and Power Lines.
It is explained in FIG-2 and FIG-3 in the DRAWINGS. Sea (14) is the RESERVOIR
in my method
and we can tap (produce) the billions and billions or trillions and trillions
(several trillions) of
the stored potential energy (GW or TW Electricity) in the entire SEA (ocean).
We can produce
electricity 24 hours a day 365 days a year in my novel method.
FIG-5 This drawing explains how we can install underground (under seashore)
Turbine-Generators to produce the required electricity for our use..

11G-6 This page gives information about GE COMPANY diesel
Locomothies details.
COST TO OPERATE AN AUTOMATIC LOCOMOTIVEDIESEL
In this novel method we have to calculate the operational cost of a Diesel
automatic Locomotive.
FOR EXAMPLE if the railway track length both underground and ground is /0170
)o
meths tl KM ieCt
) the Automatic Locomotive (Diesel ) travels meter in 30
mimites. ,Let us consider one operation and the Automatic Locomotive travels 2

full operati xis in one hour and for 24 hours (one day) it completes 48
operations. A GE Model E36CG 3600 HP Locomotive has 330 KM RANGE and has

CA 02848716 2015-01-30
5-
= 110 KNIH speed and has 5000 gallon capacity Diesel tank.So for 24 hours
it
travels diteKM. Since the GE LOCOMOTIVE has a range 330 KM range it can run
fort Jays approximately. For example if one gallon diesel is 4 dollars then
for
5000 gallons it is 20000 doll3rs U.S. We are just spending 20000 dollars for
5000
gallon diesel and run a Locomotive for b days continuously.

(317 are connected together.
FIG-11 Illustrates how we can design a multi tube syringe (28) and discharge
water back to
Sea quickly. _ _
. _
FIG-12: Illustrates how we can discharge the wastewater using several multi
barrel syringes =
and automatic diesel Loccmotives. After producing electricity the wastewater
is collected in
several multi barrel Syringes and the waste water is compressed in the syringe
barrels by
automatic Locomotives and send it back to sea (14). This operation is repeated
again and
again to discharge the wastewater back to SEA continuously to produce
electricity.
:
When syringe- is installed in a vertical position the syringe piston (6) after
compressing and
sending the wastewater back to sea (14) does not move back itself for next
operation.. The syringe
piston f6) and hydraulic press piston (27) are connected together by 2i rope
(26A) as shown in the
drawing. When the load 31 and hydraulic press piston moves up the rope pull
the syringe piston back
for next operation. In vertical position the syringe piston moves back to the
bottom due to its weight.

(UNDERGROUND) SEA HYDROPOWER PLANT hUTOMATED PLANT)
a
HOW IT WORKS Fi ¨CI
STEP-1 When Watergate (13) is opened the sea water flows down through a
Penstock (3) to
the underground (15) installed Turbine-Generator (2) to spin the Turbine and
to produce
hydropower 24 hours a day 365 days a year. In this novel method we can produce
any
amount of hydropower (MW). The generated electricity is then sent to long
distances through
Transformers and Power Lines (not shown). The power plant is completely
automated.
STEP-2 WASTE SEA WATER IS DISCHARGED BACK TO SEA BY PRESSURE METHOD
USING A LOAD.
The waste sea water after producing electricity is then discharged into a
vertically installed
first giant syringe (28) through first Turbine draft tube (4). The first draft
tube has a valve (11).
When the first syringe is filled with wastewater then divert the wastewater to
flow into a
second giant syringe (28) installed next to the first syringe not shown in the
drawing. The
second syringe and the first syringe are attached separately with a Hydraulic
Press (22), a
Load (31), the hydraulic piston (27), a rope (26-A) a simple or compound
pulley (26) and an
automatic (diesel or steam or natural gas) Locomotive (17). The hydraulic
piston (27) and the
Load are attached (connected) together. The automatic Locomotive automatically
moves
forward or backwards. To begin the OPERATION close the first draft tube valve
(11) because
the first syringe is full and now let us move forward the first Automatic
Locomotive forward
to move the load and the hydraulic piston down in the first hydraulic press
barrel (22) to
compress the hydraulic oil (25) first and the compressed hydraulic oil moves
the first syringe
piston (27) up to compress the waste sea water and send it back to SEA
(13).Once the syringe
barrel (28) is empty open the first draft tube valve (11) to fill the first
syringe barrel. Now go
to the second syringe (28) which is already filled with wastewater now close
the second draft
tube valve (11) and now compress the wastewater in the second syringe barrel
and sent it
back to SEA using an automatic Locomotive, a hydraulic press, a load,
hydraulic piston as we
did in the first syringe. Once the second syringe barrel is empty now open the
second draft
valve to fill up the second syringe barrel and now go to the first syringe
barrel to close the
first draft tube valve to REPEAT the operation again. REPEAT these operations
again and
again to discharge the wastewater back to SEA and to produce electricity 24
hours a day 365
days a year. We have to design the syringe size, hydraulic press size, simple
or compound
pulley size choose a suitable Loan, a right horse power automatic Locomotive
according to
the sea hydropower capacity. To calculate the power generated in my method use
the
formula POWER = 9.8 X water head in meters x water flow rate in m3/s x
Efficiency (95%)

Benefits in my novel method.
1) Once the underground sea hydropower plant is built in underground (below
seashore)
the sea hydropower plant has a long life.
2) Since the plant is constructed underground and with minimum maintenance
costs we
can run the plant for a long time.
3) Due to corrosion problems the parts like penstock, Turbine-Generators,
water tanks,
syringes, draft tubes discharge pipes should be made from corrosion free
materials.
4) If office buildings and Transformer plants are constructed underground we
can save 10
% additional (extra) investment costs. We can make the plant AUTOMATED.
5) In this method we need not construct an expensive DAM and we save 60 to 70
%
investment costs. An investor can get his money back very fast than other
plants.
6) If we construct office buildings and Transformer stations underground
(below
seashore) we can protect them during Tsunami or Hurricane attack periods.
7) The cost to construct an underground sea hydropower plant will be cheaper
than
other power plants.
8) We can construct and operate this power plant within 6 to 12 months
depending the
capacity of the power plant.
9) In this method we can extract (produce) any amount of energy (MW or GW
Electricity)
for our daily consumptions.
10) For large scale underground sea hydropower plants we have to design the
giant
syringes, giant water tanks choose the right capacity Turbine-Generators and
right
horse power Locomotives (see Wikipedia for Locomotives).
11) In this method if we place a suitable load on the syringe piston we, can
raise the water
to any required height. For example if the water head is 100 meters then the
water
head of the syringe discharge pipe is also 100 meters and we can raise the
wastewater
for example 400 meters or more above ground and produce more hydropower and
thereby reduce the production cost of producing electricity. We make more
profits
and we can add more Locomotives to discharge the wastewater back to SEA.
12) In this method we can place any LOAD (below 10000 Tons) itidoes't natter
because
we can add any number of diesel or steam or natural gas Locomotives to have
the
= required horse power to lift the load and piston up or move down.
13) In this novel method sea water is the natural resource to produce
hydropower. We
dot not need oil, coal, natural gas uranium, thorium any more to produce
electricity
from other power plants. We do not need wave power, tidal power, wind power,
solar
power, biomass power, biogas power, geothermal power, osmotic power, OTEC
power, fuel cell power, thermonuclear power or any other power. -
